Experimental data on the reattachment length behind an obstacle in pulsating channel flow are presented. The reattachment length was found to reduce down to two times compared to the steady case. Visualization of a kinematic structure of separated pulsating flows was carried out. Vortex street behind an obstacle in pulsating flow was revealed. Classification of such flows was submitted, and a flow bounds map in respect to frequency and amplitude of superimposed pulsations was plotted. |
