The effect of the seismic wave resulting from an explosion of an underground explosive charge on the main pipeline was investigated by authors earlier. The forces acting on the pipeline, stresses and strains in the pipeline depending on size of the explosive and depths of its explosion are determined. Using time Laplace transform, the equations of motion of the theory of Timoshenko-beams are solved. In the present work, the equation of motion of the beam flexural theory is solved.Analytical expressions for calculating the strains and stresses in the pipeline depending on the size of a seismic wave ofexplosion according to the technical beam flexural theory are derived. The results of calculations according to both the theories are compared. The deflection of the pipeline in the explosion epicenter as predicted by the beam flexural theory is twice less than the prediction of the theory accounting for the shear deformation, whereas the stresses are 35-40% higher.
