Abstract
Types of strain paths occurring in an anisotropic material of an obstacle under shock loading is studied, taking alloy D16Т as an example. Calculations have been made in a three-dimensional formulation using the finite-element method. The relation between the sharp bends of strain paths in various points of the obstacles and the wave pattern of straining has been shown.
