Geometrically nonlinear differential equations of longitudinal-transversal movements of thin isotropic and orthotropic shells of Timoshenko-type accounting for shear and inertia of rotation [1], are used to analyze longitudinal-transversal movements of cylindrical and conic shells of variable thickness under longitudinal impact by absolutely hard bodies. The results of the analysis are presented in the form of two-dimensional and three-dimensional diagrams displaying the picture of wave formation on the entire surface of the shell.
