Abstract
A 3D-temperature field history of a melt drop -substrate system has been calculated. The method of temperature equalization for small consecutive areas that does not require the use of differential equations is proposed. The method is tested on a standard problem of evaluating the temperature field of a solid sphere. The change in the position of the boundary of the melt in the drop - substrate system is determined.
