The analysis of tension fault-block structures of the lithosphere leads to the investigation of the problems for layered-block media with multiple inhomogeneities. Difficulties of studying such environments can not be overcome by using only modern computational tools. The differential factorization method for boundary value problems of complex media is a generalization of the integral transform method and is a convenient tool for their study. On this basis, we propose a new analytic method of functional equations and integral equations for a layer-structured medium with defects such as cracks.
