The present state and the existing problems in investigating the micro- and nanoflows are reviewed. In particular, the following problems are discussed: methods of description of the micro- and nanoflows; applicability limits of the hydrodynamic description; unusual properties of the micro- and nanoflows; the problems of hydrodynamic simulation of micromixers; algorithms of the molecular dynamics (MD) simulation of nanoflows; data of the MD simulation of nanoflows; fluid structure and transport processes in nanochannels.
