Abstract
The results of investigating the effect of nuclear radiation on the acoustic characteristics of the reactor tank material for the WWER-440 reactor. Samples-templates cut out from the reactor tank were investigated. It was found that the radiation causes embrittlement of materials under investigation; the characteristics of elastic waves are sensitive to the fluence size and material embrittlement.
