| Models and criteria of fracture mechanics of solids with cracks have been developed for fracture analysis of solids with notches for the case of mode I loading. The non-singular term, the so-called T-stress, ahead of the crack/notch tip is taken into account. Basic criteria equations and curves are constructed to estimate fracture. The validity of the proposed criterion is confirmed by experiments with through-cracked plates made of different materials at different temperatures. |
