The paper deals with some problems of interpretation of Richard Maidstone?s Latin poem devoted to the so- called reconciliation of King Richard II with the city of London in August 1392. Particular attention is paid to the Trojan allusions and their role in the propagandistic discourse of the late-medieval poet. |
