The article is focused on the evolution of King Arthur’s image during the early Tudor period. Particular attention is paid to the symbols of the royal authority and the various interpretations of the king’s image. The author con- cludes that during this period King Arthur was personified with King Henry’s son Arthur, prince of Wales, which became one of the central motifs in the propaganda of the new dynasty. |
