With the increasing glocalization, the role of regions in the national and world economy has changed. Today, regions are becoming independent actors capable of competing globally. As for theoretical background, regional development is often based on the clustering concept. One of the strategies to improve the quality of network structures and increase the competitiveness of the territory is the internationalization of clusters. The paper aims to discover common theoretical ground of the clustering concept and internationalization. The results achieved provide a theoretical basis for analyzing the problem of cluster internationalization in order to increase global competitiveness of regions.
