Abstract
The synthesis of cesium containing ?-tridymite type phosphate CsMgPO4 has been carried out and its phase forma- tion, thermal behavior and expansion have been studied. Single-phase stuffed CsMgPO4-based ceramics was obtained by cold pressing with sintering additives and spark plasma sintering at temperatures up to 1173 K. In both cases the relative ceramics density was more than 94%. Cesium leach rate from the ceramics obtained was 3?10-4 g?cm?2?d?1.
