The model parameters of local interaction are determined describing contact stresses at the projectile surface. A qu- adratic dependence was used between the local normal stress and the normal velocity of the projectile; the Coulomb model was used for tangent stresses. A comparison has been made between the previously obtained problem solution on spherical cavity expansion taking into account dynamic compression and the shear strength of the soil medium and the numerical calculations simulating the penetration of conical-nose projectiles into the sandy soil in the framework of the reversed experiment. Good agreement has been shown between the numerical calculation results and the local interac- tion model to determine the penetration resistance force in case of minor differences between the maximum and quasi- stationary values. |
