| We consider the influence of Christian Reuter's novel «Schelmuffsky» on German-language literature of the 18th - 19th centuries. J. Stranitzky in his play «Description of a joyful trip from Salzburg to different countries» uses some traits of Schelmuffsky’s character when depicting his own character, Hanswurst. The Romantics of Heidelberg interpreted the main hero’s character of Reuter’s novel from the positions of the romantic theory, showing the romantic nature of the hero against the social life’s background of the early 19th century. |
