The paper deals with some aspects of terminological coordination in onomastics. Two approaches (phases) are analyzed: the lexical and the lexicological one. The former focuses on the term as a lexical unit, the latter on specialized dictionaries as special knowledge representation models. Some В«pitfallsВ» on the way to the internationalization process in onomastic terminology are analyzed in connection with the creation of the international glossary of onomastic terms, which is one of the most urgent problems in onomastics today.
