An overview of turpentine deep processing is presented. Manufacturing of various products from timber-based materials is a growing branch of industry. Deep processing of liquid-phase forest industry wastes is first of all an environmental problem. It is important to note that the turpentine deep processing results in obtaining new valuable materials such as terpineol perfume, Pharmacopoeia-grade terpin hydrate, oil disinfectants, etc. The article presents the data which clearly justify the creation of the Russian turpentine deep processing industry.
