The boundary between the philosophy as an abstract reflection and the philosophy as a force constructing some new reality is hard to define. Some examples from political and social history are used to demonstrate how the philosophical analysis turns into the construction of a social space. This effect is especially important for the understanding of the suicide problem. The authors conclude that it is imperative to formulate the value position in the philosophical study of suicide. |
