The article examines the characteristics of vegetative reproduction of some species of peony ( P. anomala L., P. hybrida Pall., P. tenuifolia L., P. wittmanniana Hart.) by green cuttings at the Botanical Garden-Institute, Ufa Science Centre of RAS. The positive effect of synthetic growth regulators (kornevin and ukorenit) on the development of root system of cuttings was noted. It was revealed that the result of propagation by cuttings depends on the specific features of the peonies. Of all the species studied, the most promising ones for this method of reproduction are P. anomala and P. wittmanniana .
