| In this paper, an attempt is made to study the role of hybrid, «fantastic» creatures in the bestiaries of the Middle Ages, which played a very important role in the formation of the system of ideas about the «wonderful» and «amazing» in the consciousness of medieval man. In addition, special attention is paid to the study of the semantics of images of specific creatures in the context of religious and symbolic history of the European Middle Ages. |
