The ongoing conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic has lasted for more than two years. It is estimated that during this time more than 100 000 people have lost their lives. This tragedy in one of the central states of the Middle East has pushed back and stopped for a long time the development of economic and cultural life in this country. However, since Syria is one of the key countries in the region, the civil war there has affected not only the interests of ordinary Syrians, but also of most of the world and regional players.
