We examine the role of a consulting psychologist's personality characteristics in his/her successful practice and substantiate the idea that the consultant's personality and the competencies in psychological and counseling activities should be considered as separate phenomena. A theoretical model of a consulting psychologist's competencies is developed. We present the results of our empirical study aimed at refining the theoretical model and outline the key competencies of a consultant: "Problem solving", "Values", "Effective behavior". |
