This article discusses some issues of interaction of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation with public authorities in the investigation of corruption crimes. One of the objectives of the investigation of criminal cases, includ- ing the cases of corruption crimes, is to identify the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of such crimes. This objective is realized by investigators of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation by the exer- cise of powers enshrined in part 2 of Article 158 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
