| The article tackles the problem of the role of the European Court of Justice in the context of European integration and its influence on the decisions of the national legal systems of the EU members. Can the European Court of Justice maintain its position as a driving force on the way towards deeper integration or is it losing its niche? Can it become a stabilizer of EU interests and national interests of its member states? The author considers that it is time for the Euro- pean Court of Justice to enter the stage of consolidation. |
