Non-axisymmetric eigen oscillations of a liquid drop lying on a rigid flat wettable substrate in the gravity field are theoretically studied. An eigenfrequency formula of drop oscillations along the substrate as the lowest non-axisymmetric mode is derived and its dependences on the drop curvature radius, the contact angle and the surface tension coefficient are analyzed. |
