The article considers the problem of determining the shape of a projectile with minimum drag penetrating into the soil as compared with other bodies of revolution of a given length and a cross-section radius. Calculations are carried out according to numerical techniques in continuum mechanics in the framework of the Grigoryan soil model. An effective direct method of finding an optimal body shape has been developed on the basis of the approximation of the desired generatrix shape of a body of revolution by the Bezier parametric polynomial curve. |
