The motif of interim death is one of the virtually indispensable motifs for the traditional fairy tale. In the Alexander Pushkin's poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" this motif is not passed over in silence. The main character is to go through dream-death, from which he is rescued by Finn, his magical agent, also traditional element of fairy tale. To say more, it is not the only use of the motif of dream-death in the poem. The article is concerned with the moments that make possible to speak about very deep and unquestioned connection of the poem with fairy tale.
