| Philosophic problems of Lagerl?f’s novel “Outcast” are under analysis. We analyze undestanding of Christianity by the heroes and the author, the correlation between the concepts “justice” and “mercy”. We point out the parallels in addressing the philosophical and ethical issues in the novel “The Outcast” and in Dostoevsky's “Crime and Punishment”. |
