The article examines the regional broadcasting system of Nizhni Novgorod, which includes different types of media: public and private, commercial and educational, music and information, local and network - all of these resources are now fighting for their right to be heard in the market of regional broadcasting media. In a continuous process of optimizing their work, radio stations in the region are modified under the influence of both objective and subjective processes. The formation of a modern and efficient local broadcasting model is affected not only by the rapid development of new technologies and new electronic trading platforms, but also by economic reasons. In many respects, the model of broadcasting radio stations was formed in the region based on subjective preferences of media owners.
