The author substantiates the peculiarities of evidence collection in criminal cases on drug trafficking. In the author’s opinion, the peculiarities of evidence collection in this category of criminal cases are due primarily to their source, namely, the results of the criminal investigation activity. The author's view is presented on the activities of the investiga- tor aimed at rendering a procedural form to the information gathered during criminal investigation activities under the pretext of collecting evidence.
