In the article are considered the features of reception of the Russian cultural code as a way of decoding of information by authors of the Austrian moderne and the code conversion of foreign culture arising in this regard according to own "hierarchy of values". The article pursues the aim to find a common ground in the culture of Russian and Austrian moderne. By means of a structural and comparative methods of research conclusions about distinctions in reception of the Russian culture by the Austrian authors as revision of values of own culture (Herman Bahr), integration of separate foreign culture phenomena into own creative space (Hugo von Hofmannstahl) and synthesizing of similar outlooks in uniform literary attitude are drawn (Arthur Schnitzler). The received results allow to draw a conclusion on efficiency of dialogue "personal and others'" and enrichment of culture of the Austrian moderne elements of the Russian culture.
