The goal of the article is representation of incremental analysis of the concept «egoism» in Ayn Rand’s novel «Atlas Shrugged». Such methods as method of conceptual analysis, method of analysis of dictionary definitions, method of reconstruction of structures of knowledge that exist behind linguistic units, structural method are used in the research work. Author has revealed connections between different national conceptual spheres on the example of analysis of AmericanRussian’s writer novel by elucidation of conceptual meaning of category «egoism» in Russian’s and American’s mentalities. With the help of which the possibility of coexistence of the features of another mentalities (Russian and American) is explained in the individual-authorial conceptual sphere. The conclusion about duality of this conceptual sphere is done in spite of all paradoxicality of this statement.
