The peculiarities of Luxembourg literary corpus are considered in the article: history, linguistic diversity, themes. Linguistic diversity is determined by three official languages in Luxembourg and this fact causes the Luxembourg literature's definition (luxembourgensia). The young Luxembourg literature cannot compete with other European literatures which considerably influenced Luxembourg during a long period. The duchy literature appears to overcome the cultural dependence on other countries and to form its national identity. The specific character of this literature consists not in reflection of national and cultural peculiarities but in its creation and forming of national self-consciousness of the reader. Luxembourg developement's history influences the theme orientation of the "classic" authors: generally patriotic texts are created, that helps the identify perception. Today State as well as society aim on supporting its upcoming literature and on enriching of Luxembourg literary corpus.
