| We consider the classical myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as the basis for the plot of the poem «The Bas-Relief of Tsarskoe Selo» by D.S. Merezhkovsky. Key similarities and differences are demonstrated. We also examine the motivation of Orpheus’ and Eurydice’s behavior in Merezhkovsky’s poem that differs from the myth. |
