The paper deals with an important publication of sources on the history of the Albanian factor in the Yugoslav crisis and its Kosovo stage. The historical roots of Serbian-Albanian contradictions, Kosovo’s status in the Yugoslav state during various periods its history, aggravation of the Albanian question in the 1980s, the reasons of its transformation into armed conflicts are researched. The author also considers the role of the external factor in the settlement of the Serbian-Albanian conflict and Russia’s participation in this process.
