| The article examines the life and text heritage of Maximus, the first bishop of Turin (late 4th-early 5th centuries). Drawing on Maximus' sermons, we reveal the main ideas of the bishop regarding Christian community and the limits of its identity, religious and daily practices and norms of Christian life under the threat of barbarians. |
