No study of meaning is possible without recourse to knowledge. In this context, semantics should first of all define what particular type of knowledge should be used in interpretation - a taxonomic knowledge objectified in public prac- tice or alternatively opinions and views, which are not always reliable. Obviously, we would not be able to find a gen- erally accepted answer. However, we can try to understand how the format of interpretation is dependent on the type of knowledge. We can also try to understand why the meaning is given in compliance with a specific kind of knowledge and whether it is possible to construct a meaning model taking into account - under the principles of epistemological federalism - different systems of knowledge.
