| The author investigates the subject of war crime and its consequences in the literature on the Great Patriotic War. Particular attention is given to the novel «The Cursed and the Slain» by Viktor Astafyev and the short story «Pardon» by Mustay Karim. The article analyses the plotline, in which a charge of desertion has legal ground but is essentially unfair. |
