During the «Cold War», there was a sharp clash of interests of the leading players in the international arena. Under these conditions, the Soviet-Turkish relations remained within narrow bounds until the early 1960s. However, since 1960, there was a significant rapprochement and improvement of these relations. The article deals with the Soviet economic and technical assistance in the context of the Soviet-Turkish agreement of March 25, 1967, which envisaged the construction of large enterprises in the territory of Turkey.
