The article examines the concept of orders and gives a review of various encyclopedic sources concerning this concept. We analyze the specific features and characteristics of orders: the availability of powers, the obligatory (unconditional) nature of orders, the legality of orders, the possibility to apply disciplinary and administrative punishment. Based on the study of the content of different definitions, the author's concept of orders is proposed along with appropriate changes to the current legislation.
