Abstract
The authors examine organized crime as a threat to domestic and international security. Today, organized crime is evolving to the international level, and this development poses a danger to the stability of individual states and the international community as a whole. This article explores the criminal group organizer's personal qualities that play an important role in creating a criminal network (criminal organization). Such qualities need to be taken into account in order to identify, detect, combat and investigate criminal manifestations of such criminal structures. We also analyze some typical traits of the organizer's personality, including perseverance, determination, energy, persistence, high self-discipline, ruthlessness, resistance to stress, intellectual and emotional stability in problem situations, self-control and sober thinking when making decisions. Leadership, enterprise and efficiency should be also noted as typical business qualities.
