This article examines a number of practical aspects of psychological and linguistic expert examination of extremist materials. The authors describe some specific features of extremism on the example of the Straight edge subculture. A list of the characteristics of the Straight edge subculture representatives (slang expressions, symbols, clothing) is presented, their ideological preferences are described. The authors emphasize the need to differentiate specific extremist manifestations in the course of the investigation in general and in forensic examination, in particular.
