This article presents a description of paradoxical definitions (from crossword tasks of the magazine "Krokodil"). We investigate in detail paradoxical definitions based on the gender-aspect method of interpretation. Such definitions include clausal attributive constructions. Various linguistic means for creating language play in both parts of such interpretations are considered. It may be achieved by colliding several words or set phrases within a single interpretation or by transforming set phrases.
