The article tackles the ways of eliminating possible errors when translating international and pseudo-international words, with much emphasis placed upon such linguistic phenomena as “false friends” of the interpreter. To achieve adequate translation of texts, it is necessary to determine the possibilities of cross-language text transformation as well as the degree of proximity of separate elements in the studied foreign and native languages as a basis for preparing didactic materials for teaching foreign languages. |
