| This paper discusses the role and the potential of modeling in the context of solving professionally oriented problems when teaching mathematics. We also consider the desirability of developing an instructional system for training students to use modeling. The results are described of implementing the instructional system in the practice of teaching students of medical and pedagogical institutions of higher education. |
