The play «Park» is distinguished by its unusual structure where the author repeatedly emphasizes his receptive programme expounding according to what principles the postmodernist code of the play is to be interpreted. The code in question is Shakespearian. In his preface Botho Straus lays his cards down as to his strategy of intertextuality by mentioning «A Midsummer Night's Dream» as the main source of citation in his play. |
