Abstract
The article presents the analysis of evolution which occurs in perception and assimilation of antique code in German philosophical, aesthetic and literary consciousness in the 20th century historical and socio-cultural context. It is stated that the activation of ancient code in German culture belonged to the turning points of German social development. The interpretation of classical images becomes the most attractive during the time of losing the moral reference points and the start of searching for the new ethic and aesthetic ideals. The article reveals that antique code is still active and corroborative element of modern pluralist and multi-dimensional art of the united Germany.
