Abstract
In this paper, we prove the need to use philological components in curricula of non-philological specialties such as history, sociology, psychology, philosophy, jurisprudence, economics, international relations, etc. We substantiate the universal significance of basic textual concepts and categories (main text, version of the text, final formulation, author's will, plagiarism, conjecture, attribution).
